The addition of top Strike Force heavyweights to the UFC is overdue. The UFC heavy weight division appears to be the strongest it has ever been, but it remains one of the only UFC weight classes whose fighters haven’t swept the world rankings. With Zuffa’s purchase of Strike Force, the UFC has the ability to acquire fighters Daniel Cormier and Josh Barnett who are ranked top ten by many respected MMA sources. The UFC has taken a step in the right direction by signing former Strike Force champion Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum who are also ranked top ten in the world. The UFC is in a position where they can have the world’s best heavy weights fight in the same organization.
